Please note that all BVA students currently enrolled in 8th Grade MUST re-open enroll with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as a 9th Grade student for the 2019-2020 school year. Contact the BVA Office if you have any questions.
New Students OUTSIDE the Merrill School District (Non-Resident)
Monday, February 4, 2019 - Tuesday, April 30, 2019: Wisconsin Regular Open-Enrollment application available on the DPI website
Spring/Summer 2019: 2019-2020 BVA Approved Student Enrollment Information Form link/email will be sent directly to Open Enrollment Applicants APPROVED by Merrill Area Public Schools
Summer 2019: Wisconsin Alternative Open-Enrollment application available on the DPI website
IMPORTANT to NOTE: By Wisconsin State Statute, parents are only allowed to apply one time in a specific school district for enrollment through the open-enrollment process; therefore, if you apply during the regular open-enrollment period and are denied due to space, you are not allowed to use the alternative open-enrollment process to re-apply, even if there is space available during any given school year. If you have questions about this process, please contact the Department of Public Instruction.
