2020-2021 Open Enrollment For Prospective Students
Wisconsin's Regular Open Enrollment Period for the 2020-2021 school year is OPEN. Please visit the WI DPI website for more information about the 2020-2021 Open Enrollment process: https://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment
The 2020-2021 regular open enrollment application period is February 3, 2020 - April 30, 2020 at 4PM.

Important Information for New Students: If you applied to the Merrill Area Public Schools district/Bridges Virtual Academy through the open-enrollment process AND have accepted/confirmed your open-enrollment seat with the Merrill school district office, you will receive a "Welcome to BVA" email from the BVA Executive Director. This email will contain important enrollment information and the steps necessary to begin the enrollment process for your student(s). This will also initiate the assignment of a BVA Advisory Teacher to your student(s) to begin working with you to develop your student's Individualized Learning Plan (ILP).
Alternative Open Enrollment Process for the 2019-2020 School Year
To apply for enrollment in Bridges Virtual Academy for the 2019-2020 school year:
Complete a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) Alternative Open Enrollment application on the DPI website: https://dpi.wi.gov/sites/default/files/imce/forms/pdf/f9421.pdf
Submit this form to the Merrill Area Public Schools district. See the district website for contact information: https://www.mapsedu.org/families-community/enrollment.cfm
Upon receipt and review of this application by the Merrill school district, you will be notified by the Merrill school district's administrative office whether or not the Alternative Open Enrollment application you submitted is approved.
If approved, you will be asked to confirm with Merrill school district's administrative office your intent to attend BVA.
Upon confirmation of your enrollment intent, you will then be sent specific enrollment information directly from the BVA office for your student(s) via email.
All requested enrollment information must be received by the BVA office before the student's enrollment is complete.

IMPORTANT to NOTE: By Wisconsin State Statute, parents are only allowed to apply one time in a specific school district for enrollment through the open-enrollment process; therefore, if you apply during the regular open-enrollment period and are denied due to space, you are not allowed to use the alternative open-enrollment process to re-apply, even if there is space available during any given school year.
